These notes help organize a request; they do not replace a supplier drawing, an operating manual or a field assessment. Product terminology describes the inquiry scope and is not evidence that a factory has accepted an order.

Before comparing a disc harrow offer, write down the tractor, hitch arrangement, soil condition and working width. For parts, record the mating dimensions and existing component references. Keep alternatives visibly separate when a proposed blade, axle or bearing changes the specification.

Review commercial assumptions with the same care as mechanical ones. A quantity stated in sets can mean a different package from a quantity stated in individual pieces. Ask what the quoted unit contains, which spares are included and whether freight and packing use the same destination basis.

An arrival request tied to planting does not establish a production or transport commitment. Obtain the supplier’s lead-time basis and record any unresolved dependency, such as approval of a drawing or payment condition.

Use a budget to explain the buying constraint, with a currency and unit or order basis. A supplier preference describes a desired balance of finish, customization and support; it is not a verified ranking. The service page explains how these assumptions enter a comparison.

Keep a dated copy of the scope sent to each supplier. When a reply changes the blade assembly, quantity basis or delivery responsibility, record that revision alongside the offer before discussing price.

If the article leaves a question open, add it to the procurement brief together with the product, quantity, US destination and seasonal timing. Terra Source Sourcing acts as an independent sourcing partner, and the manufacturer remains responsible for confirming the offered configuration.
